Come out, come out wherever you are!

Yes, that is right Joel and I sit here on Sunday afternoon and Baby L has yet to make an appearance! As of Friday, December 12th... Joel's birthday and our due date, we've been playing the waiting game and as many of you know I am an inpatient person but this is worse than being a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa to arrive with presents! Joel and I can't wait to meet our "special delivery" but we hope he comes before the end of the year! :)

This past week Joel and I have received a lot of advice on how to jump start labor-some I'll share with you and some I won't! :) Everything from eating spicy food (which we've done every night) to going on long walks to taking hot baths/showers. Somebody even told me that eating fresh pineapple would do it-obviously it didn't work for me as I'm still pregnant. I've heard getting a massage and/or pedicure works too!

This weekend Joel and I have just tried to stay busy. On Friday, we celebrated Joel's birthday with dinner and a movie all between contractions...but they subsided once I went to bed. On Saturday we awoke early to breakfast and coffee and then went on a walk, it was slow but I made it. Then we were off to Christmas shop and later Joel and I had our first annual Christmas cookie bake! We made a great selection of Christmas goodies. Today we've been busy running errands, cleaning the house and hanging out with Bosco. As you can see we've been busy trying to distract ourselves from clock watching.
