Yes, that is right Joel and I are expecting Baby L in December and we celebrated Joel's first Father's Day this weekend! Baby L is so blessed to have a great Dad. Joel and I found out that we are expecting in April, but we can now officially blog about it as we have completed our first trimester! Yes, I am now 14 (nearing 15) weeks along. The last three months have been filled with joy, excitement, some fear of the unknown, a lot of SLEEP and yes, mood swings! :) Joel and I look forward to meeting Baby L on or near 12/12/08 (Joel's birthday) and we look forward to keeping you posted on our excitement via the blog. (Sorry for the one month laps in posts; to be honest...I've been sleeping!)
Finally, we had a beautiful MN summer weekend to celebrate. On Saturday, we had breakfast with my family to wish my dad a happy Father's Day. We enjoyed many great laughs and good food; happy Father's Day Dad! That same evening we had an inpromptu BBQ at Bassett Park in New Hope. Frisbee golf and bean bags were played; great food was consumed and we enjoyed great company. We left the park just in time before the storm hit. Today on Joel's 1st Father's Day we were working around the house and decided we needed to get out and enjoy the day! Joel, Emily & Mike Koski and I went for a beautiful 30+ mile bike ride through the trails. (Yes, pregnant woman can still ride) Joel and I returned home to get ready to head to his Father's Day dinner. Baby L, Bosco and I got him a man (diaper) bag, a dad parenting book to give Joel some tips and then Baby L got a few things too-- a hooded bath towel with wash cloth and a bib and burp cloth set. Can't ask for a better weekend than this!
Happy Father's Day, Dad to be!
